Enterprise Agents

Qualifying agents for real business workflows on reliability, human oversight, and operating cost, not just benchmark accuracy.

An agent can score well on benchmarks and still be unsuitable to deploy. Enterprise deployment asks a different question: can the agent meet a required reliability level, under acceptable human oversight, at tolerable cost? My team works on the evaluation and deployment machinery that answers that question for real business workflows.

READY (Chatrath et al., 2026) is our framework for qualifying agents for enterprise deployment. Given an agent, a workflow, and a class of candidate oversight policies, it measures the reliability and operating cost of the combined human-AI system, selects the cheapest policy that meets a stated reliability target, and statistically qualifies it on held-out cases. The result is a deployment profile: reliability, human-oversight burden, and cost. In a clinical-audit study spanning 16 agent systems and 750 cases, two systems only 0.3 points apart in autonomous accuracy needed 39% versus 30% human review to qualify at the same reliability target, a difference invisible to autonomous scores.
